The Environment Agency now requires all tree surgeons and arboriculture contractors to carry a valid waste transfer licence. This means that anyone who carries waste materials i.e woodchip or timber should have the correct licences and are registered to the local environment agency. Without this licence, it is in fact illegal to remove waste from any site.
On average we produce between 200-250 tonnes of woodchip a year, we also have a high volume of timber. Our machines are maintained regularly to make sure our chip quality is to a high standard, this means it can be recycled and used for biomass, we store large volumes of woodchip that is collected on a regular basis and used in power stations across the up.
We can also provide our customers with woodchips for their gardens and allotments. Our timber can be used in different wats. Hardwoods i.e beech, oak, ash etc., can be used for firewood as it burns very well. Softwoods i.e conifer and pine can also be used for firewood if properly seasoned or sent to be used for biomass also, it will be collected and processed through industrial-sized woodchoppers and then further processed in the same way as our woodchip.
Where possible we send larger pieces of timber away to the sawmills to make garden furniture and other useful products that you may see in many gardens.

All of the by-products from our tree work is recycled and reused.
Woodchip – On request, we can leave woodchips with our customers, which can be used within their gardens for paths or beds. Any excess gets collected, by arctic lorry, to be used as Biomass fuel to create electricity.
